2025 Draft – pre-Hlinka List
This list allows for a look over our full board going into the 2024 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, at least for the European nations attending the tournament.
It only pertains to Europe-based skaters that are draft-eligible for the first time. Aside from that, it works like the Central Scouting’s International Skaters preliminary list that usually comes out in the second half of October, with the identified prospects divided by tier:
• A Rating — Indicates a 1st round candidate
• B Rating — Indicates a 2nd/3rd round candidate
• C Rating — Indicates a 4th/5th round candidate
• W Rating — Indicates a 6th/7th round candidate
It is the base and starting point (for those countries) for our draft-season evaluation process that eventually leads to the final rankings.
The plan is for these preliminary rankings to be updated to their full version (i.e. to include EU-based prospects from other countries, most notably Russia) with the Summer Blue Dispatch, with its release tentatively scheduled for September 16.
That will also be the last time prospects leaving to spend their draft season in North America will appear on our rankings.

– at this early stage the W tier is not meant to be a comprehensive one
– European players that already last season were not based in Europe are not eligible for this list. e.g. Sascha Boumedienne, Václav Nestrašil
